Student Laboratory Animal Technician
An opportunity exists to work with the Animal Resources Center a Montana State University helping to support vital in the field of human health. We are looking for a reliable person to join out team and use in an animal science/pre-vet major. Laboratory animal technicians enjoy the ability to work with animals in an academic setting and are strongly relied upon for their unique skills in monitoring and assessing animal health and well-being. We place great value in finding compatible team members and encourage those with a good work ethic to apply. Training will be provided!
As a student Laboratory Animal Technician, you will actively support MSU's research programs by providing specialized care of laboratory animals. You will be performing husbandry duties such as cage changes, daily health observations, learn technical procedures, and monitor aquatic systems; cleaning and sanitizing caging, accessory equipment and work areas; reporting abnormalities to Director and/or Veterinarian; perform accurate written and computerized data collection. Successful candidate must have good verbal and written communication abilities.
